If you are looking to raise money for a good cause or just make money for your business, consider selling Ascend Coffee or your own private label we help you create. We already Donate $1 from every bag to a local charity or cause here in Costa Ballena, however, if you choose to sell Ascend coffee directly you also make a nice profit for your organization by being the retailer through direct sales.
The system is simple, buy low and sell at whatever price you like. We like about $10 a bag or 6000 colones, but many competitors are priced as much as $20 a bag at the airport. Charities qualify for a special price of $4 per bag, or $4.50 if labeled with your organization's logo. For Profit Organizations pay 3000 colones or around $5. You may also label the bags yourself. Minimum order of 24 bags is required to get private labeling if you want your logo on the bag.

Why Micro-Lot Organic Coffee Matters to you!
Commercial coffee suppliers collect beans from all over the country making tracking the origin and the process of growing difficult. We all know the shorter distance the coffee travels and the least processing possible is the best way to an amazing cup of coffee.
With over 20 known chemical pesticides found in non organic coffee, Organic coffee preserves the original flavor, using an ancient preparation process without harsh chemicals. These techniques include the use of natural plant based bio ferments to get rid of pest, sun drying of the beans, and slow roasting to perfection.
Each bean is hand picked, and selected at the perfect time to get the best flavor possible, and is picked by the family that owns the land or helpers they hire.

Imagine Busses every hour for FREE going each direction. Only 3 Busses running on Cooking oil, selling advertising to local businesses to make it sustainable would be a profit-generating entity creating money for other causes. We only need to supplement the existing bus system.
Supplemented by a colectivo service (500 colones) running beach to the bus stop and to the main bus station, needs to put into place as well to deal with the geographic size and keep city taxis drivers involved. Shorter Trips and Consistent Income, with fewer travelers walking down the highway.

Micro Recycling Centers

Small plastic collection centers to start in each town, assisted by the community collection efforts and a shedder in each location make central pic up and distribution of raw materials possible, and allows the money to go back to a micro recycling center for all materials in each town.
The schools in each town benefit the most in each town where it was collected. Education about reduction will be a big part of the focus. Centers will Organize Beach Clean Up to make sure we are not increasing the value of plastics and encouraging the families of the town to use more.

Rebuilding the School System

It all starts with Coffee as the easy point of entry. However imagine A steady income from Coffee, Cacao, Chocolate, and the precious plastics program will generate enough money to give schools a boost this year with new school rooms and new teachers.
This will take a lot of planning and for this reason, we believe transportation is first. Option to discuss are things like a central school district. Allowing some schools to specialize like a tech or art school. We need to look at all educational models and think about the future without restrictions on what's possible.
